The
beautiful mystical and sometimes elusive Alaskan Rainbow Trout is one of the most sought after species by all who fly
fish, especially when coming to Alaska. Here are some clients with beautiful Bows that were caught in
Alexander Creek with a few right at the bank of the lodge itself.
Fly
rod: Most 'bows are in the 2 - 7 pound range and they are a lot of
fun on a good 6 weight fly rod, but there are some big fish that will tear up such "light" gear and wave
goodbye.
If you are coming for Rainbows, bring at least a 7 weight and be able to
land big fish without tiring them excessively.
So
if you like
beautiful scenery,
wildlife and having
an Alaska Rainbow Trout connected to the end of your fly line then this Alaskan
Holiday / vacation lodge is
the place for you.
